OAC empowers business analysts and consumers with modern, AI-powered, self-service analytics capabilities for data preparation, visualization, enterprise reporting, augmented analysis, and natural language processing/generation.

Goal

OAC is a very complete and powerful tool so the goal was to improve the experience of our users by making the tool appealing and easy to use even when it has a ton of features embedded.

My primary role as a UX Designer with the team consisted on doing a revision of the home page and based on research and use cases, improve the look and feel for the Product. The improvements were made by a team of visual designers, user experience designers, product managers and developers.

Coupled with the UX tasks, I got involved in a wide range of different duties such as: icon design, interaction prototypes, user research, redlining for developers and wire-framing for the Next Generation of the product.

From top to bottom:

  1. OAC Project page look and feel when I was working on it. Right before I left the team, we had just started working on the next generation UI which can be seen in the following mockups.
  2. Explorations to place the Canvas Properties pane in different places within the canvas. After a research session with a client, we wanted to improve the user experience when editing an object.

  3. Redline spec prepared after fixing styling.

  4. Icon set created exclusively to use in wireframing for the NextGen OAC.
  5. Interaction prototype to test viability of a mockup.
