Club Campestre of Tijuana is the most exclusive Country Club in the city. It is not just the only one of its type, it is also one of the most important historic landmarks of the Northern part of Mexico.
When founded, back in 1927, Club Campestre was part of the most exclusive and luxurious entertainment complex (back then called Agua Caliente) and was frequented by the high-end society of both Mexico and the United States.
Nowadays, and because of its proximity with the U.S. (San Diego, CA), it is still considered one of the most important Country Clubs of the Tijuana-San Diego region. There is just a limited number of memberships available, most of them are inherited or reserved for the elite. That is the importance of the Club.
All this elegance and exclusiveness had to be represented in their website. Since its main focus is not to ‘attract’ more customers (since there are no more memberships available to purchase… unless you are a Governor or something) the website was put aside and not well kept.
My main goal was to represent the elegance and exclusiveness of the Club, highlight its facilities and services that are available to the general public such as restaurants, event spaces and venues and selected events.
The client wanted to continue managing the website in WordPress so, after defining the website’s color palette and fonts, I delivered a moodboard with all the ideas and proceeded to find a theme that would help me aggrandize the Club’s features.
There was nothing technically wrong about the old website, it was just a normal website. But after we deployed the newest version we were able to appreciate the enormous difference. The client is beyond satisfied with the result, and so am I.
